Mark Pawsey meeting Jack and Hannah, who have bought their home thanks to the Help to Buy scheme.One of the guiding principles of all Conservative Governments has been to build a better future for young people. The Government of which I was proud to be a member was no exception.
In Parliament, Mark has served on the Communities & Local Government Select Committee. In addition he has knowledge of the planning system from his time as a member of the planning committee for Rugby Borough Council, prior to first becoming Rugby and Bulkington’s Member of Parliament in 2010.
Mark is championing a change to driving laws that would make driving safer for young drivers by imposing certain restrictions people who have just passed their driving test. Mark spoke of the benefits that families and motorists could see if the country was to adopt a scheme called “Graduated Driver Licensing”.
Since 2010 Mark has been collecting football shirts for Project Umubano, a Conservative Party social action project, in the African country of Rwanda. Since Mark launched his appeal in July 2010 the people of Rugby have demonstrated their incredible kindnesstime and again by donating hundreds of shirts.
