Local MP Mark Pawsey has welcomed this year’s A level results for Rugby students in light of another set of excellent results.
Mark said:
“This year’s results are another example of the excellent standards within our schools in Rugby. The dedication and hard work of students here has clearly paid off and I wish all those heading off to university every success in the future.”
Mark added:
“Our local schools continue to achieve great results year after year and this is a testament to the extremely high standards of our local teachers as well as the dedication of the students themselves.”
Whilst toasting the town’s A level success Mark also reiterated the importance of vocational training:
“It is at this time of year that attention is often focussed on university placements but it is also very important to recognise the success of vocational learning programmes. Many young people wish to continue learning and preparing for life after high school and I am pleased that the Government has remained steadfast in its commitment to guide all of our young people towards obtaining the skills they will need to succeed in the work-place.”
