A campaign to secure recognition for Second World War veterans who served in Japan and the Far East by commemorating the 75th Anniversary of Victory over Japan Day has been raised in Parliament by local MP Mark Pawsey.
Mark Pawsey MP has praised the great work of Rugby charity Futures Unlocked after they were awarded the Queen’s Voluntary Service Award and called on the Government to do more to help prisoners find work before they are released.
Last week Parliament debated the ambitious proposals to end the sale of new petrol and diesel vehicles by 2040. During this debate, I was very pleased to be able to talk about the ways in which Rugby is helping to drive this change in the automotive sector.
Mark Pawsey MP attended the first ever Understanding Autism event in Parliament on 1 May, to learn more about what autism is, get guidance on how to create autism-friendly surgeries and understand how to support autistic constituents.
At Defence Questions on 20 May 2019 the Minister for Defence Procurement, Stuart Andrew MP, confirmed that after months of hard work the electric drive motors for the new Type 26 frigates will be made at GE in Rugby.
