Rugby MP Mark Pawsey officially opened Sainsbury’s new Product Development Centre facility at Ansty Park last week.
The centre is fitted with state-of-the-art facilities including testing labs and a photo studio is used for the trialling and development of the latest retail merchandising, marketing and display initiatives. The building also benefits from 65 sq m of solar panels on its roof, which provide renewable energy for the Centre.
Mark said:
“I was delighted to have been offered the opportunity to visit Sainsbury’s new innovative Product Development Centre at Ansty Park last week.”
Mark concluded:
“The opening of the new centre is testament to the company’s continued growth and forward thinking approach in the retail sector. This was, in fact, the second time I have visited a Sainsbury’s site this week following my regular in-store advice surgery at the superstore in Rugby on Thursday! I am sure that the next time I hold my surgery in the store I will see first-hand the innovations being devised here in Ansty.”
