Rugby MP Mark Pawsey joined Elaine Johnston, Director of Operation at Orbit Heart of England, to visit a number of the organization’s housing sites last week.
Speaking after the visit Elaine Johnston said:
“In the last five years Orbit has delivered more than 350 new homes in Rugby, helping to support around 1,800 construction and supply jobs and contributing around £126m to the economy. It’s great to have an MP who recognises the key role housing plays in the area and we are delighted he found the time to tour the homes we provide for local people.”
Mark said:
“I was delighted to be shown around several of the locations at which Orbit are the social housing provider. Orbit provide a very valuable contribution to our housing needs and as a member of the Communities & Local Government Select Committee looking into the housing market it was very important to talk with them.”
