Local MP Mark Pawsey welcomes announcements which will be of great benefit to his constituents and local businesses
Rugby and Bulkington MP Mark Pawsey has welcomed the news that the Government has given the go-ahead for a grade separation at the Binley and Walsgrave roundabouts on the A46 between the M40 and M6/M69.
The work will involve either flyovers or underpasses being constructed which will ease congestion on this important A46 corridor which supports almost 95,000 jobs and over 75,000 houses.
Speaking after the announcements Mark said:
“This is welcome news for the local area, and in particular my constituents living in Binley Woods, and will address some long standing congestion issues on this section of the A46.”
Mark continued:
“The Government is committed to an ambitious £15bn roads programme to vastly improve our country’s road infrastructure as part of its long-term economic plan and it is great news that Rugby and Bulkington will see the benefits of the Government’s efforts.”
Mark concluded:
“Improving our major local road networks will attract further investment into our area, create growth and jobs for local people and this project is further evidence of the Government’s commitment to get our country back on track and continue the work it has already done rebuilding our economy.”
