On Thursday 20th December, Rugby MP Mark Pawsey praised the work of Rugby-based Company Automotive Insulations during questions to the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills. In his question to Business Minister Michael Fallon, Mark pointed out that Automotive Insulations had increased their turnover from £3 million to £14 million over the last few years. Given that they are now looking to export their products, Mark asked the Minister to ensure businesses like Automotive Insulations continue to get help from the Government.
Speaking afterwards, Mark said:
“I am glad the Business Minister joined me in praising the success of Automotive Insulations. Their recent substantial growth in turnover and numbers of staff employed is great news for Rugby”.
Mark continued:
“As a small business owner myself before becoming an MP, I know only too well the challenges of starting to export overseas as a means of growing a business. We as a country should be encouraging our businesses to export as much as they can because that is one way to help safeguard jobs and to ensure we secure new jobs here in the UK”.
Mark concluded:
“It is important that this Government should be on the side of businesses and I was very happy to hear what the Minister had to say in his response. I am glad the Government is actively pushing the exports agenda and I will continue to push Rugby’s companies’ cases in Parliament as much as I can”.
