Rugby’s MP invites school children to enter a design for his Christmas card
Mark Pawsey MP has written again this year to the Heads of all Primary Schools in his Constituency inviting pupils to enter a competition to design his Christmas card for 2012.
Having received more than 100 entries last year, Mark had a tough decision in choosing a winner.
The winner’s prize will be a visit to Westminster, where he or she and their family are to be treated to a tour of the Houses of Parliament and ‘Tea on the Terrace’. The card with the winning design will be printed and sent out to a variety of local organisations during December.
Mark said:
“I’ve been really impressed with the quality and the amount of entries I’ve received in previous years. I’ve written to all of the Primary Schools again and invited pupils to submit their artwork to my office by Friday 9th November 2012.”
He continued:
“With the half-term holiday coming up next week, this might be an ideal opportunity to give them something to work on during the break. I’m looking forward to seeing some colourful designs from the children of Rugby and to making my choice.”
