Rugby MP Mark Pawsey joined students and staff from Paddox Primary School in Westminster where they received the West Midlands regional award for the national Make IT Safe competition.
The students designed eSafety posters to make children more aware of how to remain safe online.
Mark said:
“It was fantastic to meet with the team from Paddox Primary in Westminster and to see their incredible work on the Make IT Safe competition recognised”
Andrew Turk, eSafety co-ordinator at Paddox Primary said:
“The children put a lot of work into their posters which were about different aspects of eSafety so it was nice to see it rewarded. The children have all grown up with the internet and it’s essential that, as well as its benefits, they are also aware of its dangers.”
Mark concluded:
“Winning the West Midlands regional award was an incredible achievement and all of the students who worked on the project should be rightly very proud!”
