Rugby MP Mark Pawsey has welcomed support from business leaders across the West Midlands to an announcement that the Government will extend the small business exemption from new regulations to firms with up to 50 employees. The exemption was originally for firms with fewer than 10 employees but the Government has shown its commitment to small businesses by extending this to firms with up to 50 employees.
Speaking on the subject, Mark said:
“As someone who started and ran their own business for 25 years before becoming an MP, I know and understand the pressures faced by small business owners”.
Mark continued:
“Red tape and regulations are a major distraction and a major delay for many small businesses. In Rugby and across the UK small businesses are the lifeblood of our and it is important that they are provided with every incentive to grow and employ additional staff.”
Mark concluded:
“I welcome any measures to help small businesses concentrate on growing their business instead of having their head stuck in paperwork. This additional exemption proves the Government are on the side of businesses and I am glad business leaders from across the West Midlands have welcomed this good news”.
