Mark Pawsey MP visits local brewery and finds it has a passion for the sport of rugby and the town
Mark Pawsey MP recently visited Wood Farm Brewery and Visitor Centre to taste the local produce and find out more about the Brewery’s passion for our town and the sport of Rugby.
Situated in the tranquillity of the local countryside in Willey just outside Rugby visitors to the micro brewery are able to partake in rustic home cooked meals and enjoy locally brewed ale and also take a tour of the site.
Mark said:
“I was delighted to visit Wood Farm Brewery and to meet with the enthusiastic people running it. It is great to see the brewery using links to the town, and the sport of Rugby in a positive manner. Beers are named with associations to the game - such as 1823, the year William Webb Ellis picked up the ball and ran, Twickers, where England play and No. 8, a position on the field. With such a distinction I am sure that Wood Farm will have every success in the future.”
Mark continued:
“The Rugby World Cup in New Zealand is just around the corner and I would urge people to try one of Wood Farm’s Rugby themed locally brewed ales as they support England’s progress in the tournament.
