Mark Pawsey, MP for Rugby has registered for the Annual Rugby & Coventry Bikeathon taking place on Sunday 12th June.
He will take part in the 10 mile cycle ride together with his daughter and hopes to raise some money for a very worthwhile cause to aid research into Leukaemia and Lymphoma.
Mark said: “I’m delighted to support the Rugby Bikeathon. My daughter Sara and I took part in the ride 2 years ago and are both looking forward to doing it again, having registered at a local cycle centre.”
He continued: “ Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research is dedicated to finding better treatments for blood cancers, including leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma.”
He concluded: “ For their life-saving work to continue, they need to raise over £20 million every year, and I’m glad to be able to make a small contribution towards this target. Most people in Rugby will be aware of the Charity thanks to the hard work and determination of Janet Haynes who works tirelessly for this cause.”
