On Thursday 18th July, Mark Pawsey MP asked the Business Secretary, Vince Cable, to join with him in praising the work Small Businesses do in Rugby and the rest of the UK. Mark raised the work of Rugby based business Automotive Insulations and their plans to expand.
Mark said:
“I was delighted to get the opportunity to tell the Business Secretary and other MPs about the great work Automotive Insulations in Rugby are doing. They have plans to expand their business and employ more people which is fantastic news for both them as a business and Rugby’s employees”.
Mark added:
“I also raised with the Business Secretary the issue of employment law. Simplifying employment tribunals would be a welcome assistance to businesses in Rugby and I was glad to hear the Government agrees. This Government is committed to saving both employers and employees money in the tribunal system and I will of course continue to push the case for Rugby businesses in Parliament whenever I get the opportunity to do so”.
Speaking afterwards, Mark said:
“As someone who set up and ran my own small business for 25 years before becoming Rugby’s MP, I know how crucial small businesses are to the economy. I also know what small businesses need Government to do in order to help them thrive and grow”.
