Local MP Mark Pawsey led a team of local councillors in a litter pick at Featherbed Lane Recreation Ground last Saturday.
Mark was joined by County Councillor Yousef Dahmash and Rugby Borough Councillors Kathryn Lawrence and David Cranham who all live in the Hillmorton area.
Mark commented:
“The local councillors in Hillmorton are incredibly active and care deeply about their local community. I joined the team last year in Hillmorton to ‘Clean for the Queen’ and was delighted to do so again last weekend at the Featherbed Lane Recreation Ground.”
Mark continued:
“Rugby Borough Council do a brilliant job in maintaining our parks and green spaces but I am always keen to roll up my sleeves and help out.”
Cllr Yousef Dahmash said:
“Having grown up in Hillmorton, and now watching my children grow up here, I want to do all I can to make sure it remains such a great place to live, work and raise a family. I will be joining the local Hillmorton councillors on a number of litter picks in the coming months and if anyone would like to join us they can contact me at any time on yousefdahmash@gmail.com.”
