Rugby MP is pleased that Chancellor George Osborne has cancelled the planned 3p-a-litre rise in fuel duty this August
Rugby MP Mark Pawsey has welcomed the Chancellors announcement on the freezing of fuel duty made during questions in the Commons today. George Osborne told MPs that the fuel duty will be frozen for the rest of the year.
Mark said: “It’s good news that fuel prices have been falling over the last few weeks and even better news that the Chancellor has given this extra relief to millions of people across the country”.
Mark continued: “This is a clear sign that the Government is listening and doing as much as it can for hard working families in these extremely difficult economic times”.
