Rugby MP Mark Pawsey has revealed the winner of his 2019 design a Christmas card competition.
This year picking a winner from the over 100 entries proved tough, but Mark chose the picture designed by 10-year-old Tilly Lee from Paddox Primary School. Tilly’s design captures the festive season with a snowman built by a young girl and her dog.
Tilly’s image features on the outside of Mark’s card, with designs from the three runners up pictured inside. Mark’s card is being sent out throughout the constituency this year.
Alongside her design being used for Mark’s Christmas card, Tilly and her family will visit Parliament in the new year. As part of their visit they will be treated to a tour of the Palace of Westminster followed by Tea on the Terrace with Mark.
The runners up were Lennon Martin of Clifton-upon-Dunsmore C of E Primary School, Samuel Finch from Eastlands Primary School and Mia Bodo of Bilton C of E Junior School.
Mark said:
“I was once again delighted to receive so many wonderful designs from children throughout Rugby and Bulkington. Picking a winner is always really hard, and this year was no exception. Tilly’s design, which is bright and colourful, captures the joy Christmas brings for so many children. For that reason, I thought her design was a worthy winner for this year.”
