Rugby MP Mark Pawsey has given his backing to a Scam Mail campaign in an effort to raise awareness of the problem and help to protect vulnerable people in Rugby.
Mark is urging people to deliver any scam letters or mailings they receive to his constituency office, which he will then take to Parliament to form part of the campaign.
Mark said:
“I am very glad to bring this scam mail campaign to Rugby. It is very important to raise awareness of the fact that scammers will go to any lengths to take money off vulnerable people and I hope this campaign will do just that”.
Mark continued:
“Many Rugby residents might receive letters that look genuine and of high quality so I am urging people to be careful”.
Mark concluded:
“If anyone in Rugby does receive scam letters or mailings then I would be grateful if they could drop them off to my constituency office. We will have a box for such items and I will take them all to Parliament to add to this campaign”.
Letters can be delivered to Mark’s office – Albert Building, 2 Castle Mews, Rugby, CV21 2XL until the end of December 2013
