Mark Pawsey MP has met with Rugby social worker Patricia Fifield, winner of the Adult Social Worker of the Year and the Overall Social Worker of the Year awards. At an event with Minister for Care Norman Lamb MP, Patricia was praised for her long and distinguished career.
Mark said:
“Patricia Fifield is a great champion for social care, and Rugby owes her thanks for 41 years of dedicated service to many in our community who need it the most. I was pleased to meet Patricia, with the Minister for Care, and to celebrate her winning this award, which is completely deserved.”
Mark commented:
“Patricia’s tireless work, to help and empower adults in Rugby who require care, is a credit to her profession. She inspires those around her, and I know that there are many others in Rugby whose work goes unnoticed but is just as less vital.”
Mark concluded:
“This Government values the incredible work of our social workers, and we are working to make sure that social services are the highest quality that they can be. Ultimately, though, it is down to the work of outstanding workers, like Patricia, that such excellent care is provided for those who need it, in Rugby.”
