Rugby MP Mark Pawsey has welcomed the news that a record number of companies were registered in Rugby in the first six months of the year.
According to the latest Duport Business Confidence Report there was a boom in company formation during these six months with an impressive 27% rise.
Mark said:
“This is really great news for Rugby and shows that confidence is growing in the private sector.”
Mark continued:
“Not only did company formation rise by 27% in the first six months of 2013, the biggest rise since records began, company closures also fell. I think everyone will welcome this news which will mean more jobs for local people.”
Mark concluded:
“The Government has brought forward a number of measures to get our economy moving again such as cutting red tape, reforming employment law and increasing access to finance for businesses through the Funding for Lending scheme, and these initiatives are clearly beginning to bear fruit.”
