As well as creating 1.4 million new jobs in the Private Sector unemployment is also down in the UK.
The total national claimant count, down 32,600 to 1.4 0 million compared to July 2013 and is now lower than at the general election in May 2010, with unemployment at 2.49 million (7. 7 per cent) down by 105,000 on a year earlier.
The number of people in work has rocketed up by 80,000 in only three months – a rise driven entirely by a growth in full time jobs - to a record high of 29. 84 million (71.6 per cent) and up 275,000 from a year earlier with more women in work than ever before. and there are over half a million job vacancies.
The private sector has created jobs for 1.4 million more people under this Government, and there are now more people employed in the private sector than ever before.
