On Sunday 4th July Mark Pawsey MP was invited to open the annual Pailton Summer Fete. This is an important event in the village and Mr Pawsey was pleased to have been able to take part in this charitable event.
Speaking about the event, Mark Pawsey MP said: "It is always great to see local people doing their bit and I am very happy to see money being raised for the church and the Village Hall here in Pailton. These buildings perform a vital role in the community and it is important that we continue to support them, as without them many of the excellent events that take place would simply not happen."
Mark added: "The way in which the local community pulls together in order to organise these kinds of events is extremely heartening, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank the many volunteers who give up their time in order to make these kinds of occassions possible. Hard working individuals are the bedrock of our society, and it is important that we all recognise their contributions."
Mark concluded: "It was an honour to be invited to open Pailton's summer fete. These kinds of community events are extremely important in our local area and I will always be pleased to support them in any way that I can."
