Rugby and Bulkington MP Mark Pawsey has welcomed funding from Warwickshire County Council to help small businesses to grow. The funds, which will be available for small enterprises or micro businesses for capital investment, form part of a £3 million package of support for Warwickshire’s Small and Medium Enterprises. Successful applicants for the grants will need to demonstrate how the cash would boost turnover, create new jobs in Warwickshire or protect existing employment.
Full details, including deadlines and eligibility for funding can be found at www.warwickshire.gov.uk/businessgrants or by contacting Warwickshire County Council’s Economy and Skills Group on Tel: 01926 412709
Mark said:
“Small businesses form a vital part of our economy and Rugby has a great range of local businesses which are able to thrive thanks to our great transport and infrastructure links. Having set up my own small business here, I know how valuable it is to be able to secure funds to invest in growing your business.”
Mark continued:
“It is good news that Warwickshire County Council has chosen to invest in local SMEs. By growing local businesses, we can attract more jobs and investment in Rugby and Bulkington, particularly in areas that are vital for our future growth such as manufacturing and advanced engineering.”
Mark concluded:
“I would encourage any business in Rugby and Bulkington that qualifies for funding to make an application. These kinds of opportunities are ones which I know that all businesses can benefit from and the Local Enterprise Partnership has played a valuable role in boosting local businesses here. I hope that we will see more Rugby businesses develop and grow thanks to this investment.”
