Rugby MP Mark Pawsey has written to all local schools to raise concerns regarding inconsiderate parking around their sites.
Mark has been busy all summer knocking on doors and one of the main issues raised by local residents across Rugby was that of inconsiderate parking around schools.
Mark said:
“It is clear that parking around schools is a major issue of concern for many of my constituents and last week I wrote to all schools asking whether they could highlight this issue in their regular newsletters.”
Mark added:
“I know that our local schools have done a great job trying to encourage more considerate parking when parents are taking their children to and from school but this is still clearly something which concerns people.”
Mark concluded:
“I would hope that more parents may consider dropping their children off a little further away from their schools which would prevent the kind of problems we have at the moment, make the roads around our schools safer due to less congestion, and also the children could benefit from the short walk to the school gates.”
