Rugby’s MP Mark Pawsey has been promoted in the Prime Minister’s re-shuffle and made Parliamentary Private Secretary (PPS) to Anna Soubry MP in the Ministry of Defence.
Mark’s new role will see him work closely with Ms Soubry on issues relating to veterans and service families, cadets and also with armed forces charities. Mark recently graduated from the Armed Forces Parliamentary Scheme which gave him insight into the lives of our country’s brave service men and women.
Speaking after his appointment Mark said: “I was very proud to have been asked by the Prime Minister to act as a PPS in the Ministry of Defence and look forward to working with the Minister in the areas of responsibility and ensuring the appropriate recognition for the contribution or brave service men and women make on a daily basis.”
