Last Friday Rugby and Bulkington MP Mark Pawsey presented a cheque for £2000 to the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society which had been awarded from the 2014 Lloyds Bank Community Fund.
The 2014 Lloyds Bank Community Fund is aimed to help local communities and local good causes, and was decided by a vote cast between the 2nd September and the 10th October.
Speaking after the meeting Mark said:
“It is fantastic that the Multiple Sclerosis Society have been awarded a £2000 grant acknowledging their hard work in our local community. MS Society provide information and support for those who suffer with MS or those wanting to learn more about the condition, and it is great to see our local branch doing so well.”
Mark continued:
“This grant will enable Rugby’s MS Society to continue to provide the high-level of service they have been recognised for. The funding will help to offer home adaptations, mobility aids, specialised equipment and many other services to support those with MS who live in Rugby and Bulkington.”
Mark concluded:
“I am very pleased that Lloyds Bank Community Fund has recognised the hard work and vital role of the MS Society in Rugby. The Lloyds Bank Community Fund is a great project which provides a positive impact for local good causes.”
