Mark Pawsey’s visit to West Coast Main Line

Mark Pawsey, Parliamentary Candidate for Rugby Conservatives, will be meeting with Chris Gibb, Chief Operating Officer of Virgin Trains at Rugby Station on Wednesday 18 November 2009, where he will be shown the recent investment in Rugby's rail service.

Chris will show Mark the recent investment that has been made both in the Station at Rugby and signalling in the vicinity of the station.

Mark Pawsey said:

"Rugby's rail links are vital to the prosperity of the town and a fast, frequent service is a key feature of the town for companies looking to locate here. I am looking forward to seeing how Virgin Trains are able to benefit from the recent investment that has taken place in the rail network. I am very pleased that the journey time from Rugby to London is now shorter and I will be speaking to Chris about the service to the north-west and Scotland, which I know is of concern to many residents in the area."
